3sHealth is one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for 2018. It’s 3sHealth's second win-in-a-row, which is a pretty significant feat for a relatively small organization.

“Winning this award is testament to our great organizational culture and focus on people,” says CEO Mark Anderson. “It’s quite an honour to be one of the few organizations named.”

“To win for the second time in as many years really shows that we’ve been able to sustain and build upon best practices that make organizations like ours such a great place to work,” says Jackie Hubick, Vice-president of People and Culture at 3sHealth. “I’m very proud of our team for maintaining momentum and continuing to grow our culture of continuous improvement.”

Reasons for the win

Our 2018 Top Employer application included, for the first time, our 3sHealth Shares program. The program is run entirely by employees. Each year, employees raise thousands of dollars through bake sales and other initiatives in support of STARS, a charity that flies Saskatchewan patients from sparsely-populated areas of the province in to major urban hubs to receive life-saving care. Employees also participate in blood drives for Canadian Blood Services.

3sHealth also won the award this year for our committed and strategic approach to employee engagement.

These were two significant growth areas for the organization, and they allowed us to post strong results in several of the competition categories.

Now in its 13th year, Saskatchewan’s Top Employers is a special designation that recognizes Saskatchewan employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. An evaluation committee ranks employers in a range of categories including physical workplace; work atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
