In 2017-18, 3sHealth continued to run our corporate social responsibility program called 3sHealth Shares. The program supports Canadian Blood Services and the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS).

Over the course of six blood drives, 21 employees rolled up their sleeves and gave the gift of life. We managed to donate a total of 22 units of blood by the end of our annual campaign. That amount of donated blood is enough to potentially save up to 66 lives, according to Canadian Blood Services.

Throughout the year, our employees held six fundraisers in support of STARS and numerous potlucks and bake sales. We even arranged for senior leaders to provide “VIP” service at our staff barbeque in exchange for a donation. Together these efforts raised $2,303 for STARS. That’s enough to cover the cost of 20 medical diagnostic kits used to treat patients in transit to a health-care facility via helicopter.

These efforts are helping to foster healthier individuals, healthier teams, and healthier communities.
