In the last week of August, members of the 3sHealth employee benefits team convened for two days to build an improved approach to disability case management. Participants included a patient family advisor, a physician, health-care sector partners, and the 3sHealth continuous improvement and transformational services teams, who provided facilitation support.
The event bore the fruits of collaboration and engagement with health-care stakeholders as 3sHealth works on the larger claims management redesign called Path to Health. The goal of Path to Health is to make the disability claims process easier, to provide additional support, such as treatment funding, during the claim, and to communicate with plan members earlier and more often.
3sHealth Claims Services Manager Kyle Stroeder says that “this was a key event in our Path to Health redesign because it will help to develop how we do business moving forward within our claims services team. During this two-day event we were able to engage with our partners so we could hear their voices and develop processes that will best serve our plan members.”
The ideas and improvements generated at the event will be implemented to support the overall vision of the employee benefits team: providing collaborative support with beneficiaries on their path to health.
