eHealth Saskatchewan’s Sulochana Subramanian recently received an award usually reserved for 3sHealth employees.

3sHealth presented Subramanian with a 3sHealth “Going the Extra Mile” award. These awards, also known as GEM awards, are given to 3sHealth employees who have demonstrated excellence and commitment in their interaction with coworkers, customers, partners, and patients based on 3sHealth’s values.

3sHealth employees nominate their fellow coworkers for these GEM awards.

After a 3sHealth employee nominated Subramanian for the award, 3sHealth expanded the eligibility of the award to all Saskatchewan health system employees.

Going the extra mile

3sHealth was pleased to welcome Sulochana to our staff meeting to present her with a well-deserved GEM award. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our partners at eHealth. eHealth is instrumental to the work 3sHealth does. Every single eHealth employee does so much for Saskatchewan patients and families. Thank you.

3sHealth CEO Mark Anderson

Subramanian works as an IT Application Services Analyst at eHealth. In a first nomination of its kind, a 3sHealth employee nominated Subramanian because of the support and guidance she provided to a 3sHealth intranet project.

With her manager and coworkers in attendance, Subramanian received the award at a 3sHealth staff meeting in December 2021.

Presenting the award, 3sHealth Communications Consultant and intranet project member Michael Chmielewski said, "I was so amazed at Sulochana's dedication to the 3sHealth TeamNet migration project that I would be remiss if I did not submit her name for consideration."

Subramanian served as a SharePoint developer for the 3sHealth project.

“While helping 3sHealth stand up its new intranet, Sulochana exemplified innovation, collaboration, and excellent customer service,” explained Chmielewski. “It would not be an understatement to say that Sulochana was the MVP of the SharePoint migration project as she taught us the platform, problem solved issues we encountered along the way, and helped us deliver the project on schedule. While balancing many other health system priorities Sulochana quickly became an integral part of the team and always made herself available to help with our project.”

“The 3sHealth TeamNet migration project benefitted greatly from Sulochana’s ingenuity and make-it-work attitude.”

“I was very surprised when I received the news that I won this award – I was definitely very happy,” says Subramanian. “This was a great project to work on as the communication between the eHealth and 3sHealth teams was very good. Our collaboration helped us to develop the best possible solution for the project.”

“I also want to give a big thanks to 3sHealth for this award. It really means a lot.”

Health system integration

3sHealth CEO Mark Anderson says the project was a good example of how health system organizations continue to build a stronger partnership every day.

"3sHealth was pleased to welcome Sulochana to our staff meeting to present her with a well-deserved GEM award. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our partners at eHealth,” says Anderson. “eHealth is instrumental to the work 3sHealth does. Every single eHealth employee does so much for Saskatchewan patients and families. Thank you."
