Patient Family Partners

Have your say

We collaborate with Patient Family Partners (PFPs) so that our work is always focused on the best outcomes for patients and families. The input these volunteers provide to 3sHealth and its committees is invaluable.

“It’s amazing,” says Colleen Bryant, a 3sHealth PFP. “One of the wonderful things about being a PFP is that you get to work with the people who make the changes, the health-care decision makers. 3sHealth, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and all health-care partners are committed to listening to patients.”

Ideal PFPs will have a variety of related experience, reflect the diversity of the Saskatchewan’s population, and have a desire to improve quality, safety, and the patient experience.

Make a difference: Current opportunities

Interested in becoming a PFP? Email us at pfcc@3sHealth.ca. When 3sHealth needs a PFP for a specific committee or project, we will post that opportunity here.

PFP opportunity: Portable and stationary suction units

3sHealth is seeking the assistance of a Patient Family Partner (PFP) who can provide their perspective on the use of portable and stationary suction units.

3sHealth’s Provincial Contracting team, along with Saskatchewan Health Authority clinical experts, are developing a request for proposals (RFP) to procure portable and stationary suction units. These devices, which remove fluid from a patient’s airway in order to manage their chronic medical condition, would be made available through the Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living program (SAIL). SAIL provides a basic level of coverage, including access to medical equipment, to those with physical disabilities to help them manage chronic health conditions and live a more active and independent lifestyle.

This PFP will be able to share their lived experience using these medical devices, as well as provide input that will help ensure patient-centred perspectives are embedded in the design of the RFP. They will attend meetings, share their experience, and provide insights that will help influence procurement decisions.

For more information on this opportunity or to submit your interest, please email us at PFCC@3sHealth.ca by the end of day February 17, 2026.
